Treat yourself to a fantastic week to detox your body and mind, learn about nutrition and healthy eating, practice yoga and meditation and be taken on daily guided walks into the Burren hills and by the sea with an experienced guide.
Karolina Krzemianowska is a trained Nutritional Consultant as well as being one of our regular very experienced yoga teachers.
The food on this week will be sugar, wheat and dairy free and will be very nutritious, tasty and healthful.
We will give you information you can bring home about Detox and Nutrition so that not only will you experience the transforming effects of the detox, but you will also bring the information home with you so you can incorporate it into your daily life. The handouts we will give you will help support your understanding of practical ways you can improve your diet and will include tips on foods including those that have an anti-inflammatory effects and which are alkalinising in nature.
Above all else, the food tastes wonderful on this week and is a joy for the senses. You will not be hungry during this week, or wishing for more.
The yoga classes will include practice to help support this detox process and also practices that will help energise and stimulate the positive energy within the body, and also restorative practices to aid relaxation and letting go.
The meditation classes will teach you how to gradually train the mind by using a simple breath focussed meditation technique. This will help ring you into the present moment and to ‘become aware’ of one’s thoughts rather than being carried away by them. In time through this practice, you will gradually learn to allow your awareness to rest in the spaces between the thoughts and to all deep feelings of peace and tranquillity to arise.
And the daily guided walks by an experienced guide and the time we spend immersed in Nature is life food for the soul.
Who this Detox, Nutrition and Yoga retreat is suitable for:
This week is suitable for everybody. You can know as little or as much about Nutrition and Detox, and the yoga is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced including yoga teachers and regular practitioners.
There is no comparison made between people, and each person practices at a level which is appropriate to them at the current point in time.
It is encouraged but not essential that you cut down on or even eliminate sugar, tea, coffee and processed foods before the retreat.
