What's D.A.W.G.?


DAWG is a registered charity and depends on the generosity of people like you to save the lives of nearly 1,000 dogs every year.


Their mission is to rescue Cork's abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and to re-home every dog their rescue.



Your donation is key to helping them meet the costs of caring for more than 100 dogs currently in their foster homes and shelter, and successfully rehoming many more.

Deep Rest - Restorative Yoga


Restorative Yoga is a gentle form of practice focusing on nurturing the body and mind through postures and breathing techniques that are calming on the nervous system and stimulate relaxation response. With a guided relaxation at the end, this class will leave you feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and tranquil. Suitable for all levels, complete beginners welcome!


You will need: bolster or two large pillows and a yoga mat/carpet.


Why D.A.W.G.?


This is the second donation based class in support of Dog Action Welfare Group I decided to host this year. At the start of pandemic my husband and I got a puppy. We are absolutely in love with our furry friend and can't imagine not having him in our lives. We know that not every "pandemic" pup was as fortunate as ours. Many people who bought or adopted a dog during the lockdown, when life was going at a slower pace, have surrendered their dogs to rescues when restrictions loosened. The past 18 months has been particularly challenging for rescues and charities as they were unable to host fundraiser. I thought, December is a great month to give back and there is no better yoga style for this busy time of the year than restorative. I can't wait to see you virtually and help you relax, and fill your cup as we move through a sequence of rejuvenating postures allowing deep rest and soothing calmness.
